At Olusheno, we pride ourselves on making a difference in the lives of our clients, and today, we are thrilled to share the story of one of our satisfied customers, Mr. Matias, from Walvisbay. Our TSE, Mathew, recently had the opportunity to interview Mr. Matias, and the conversation highlighted the positive impact that our d.light solar home system is having on his family.

Though Mr. Matias currently lives in Walvisbay, his roots are in the Ohangwena region, in Endola village, northern Namibia. His family in Endola has experienced firsthand the convenience and transformation brought by the d.light solar home system, which his mother purchased in December last year.

According to Mr. Matias, before acquiring the solar system, his family had to walk long distances to charge their cell phones at a neighbour’s house or at local cuca shops, for a fee. However, since the installation of the d.light system, those days are long gone. Now, they can conveniently charge their phones at home, without the hassle of traveling far.

The solar system has proven to be reliable and has not given them any problems since they bought it. Mr. Matias expressed his satisfaction with the system, stating that he now enjoys the comfort of charging his phone at home when visiting the village, while also taking advantage of the light to read and catch up with his studies at night.

This story is just one example of how Olusheno is making a difference in the lives of people across Namibia. By providing access to reliable, clean energy, we are empowering families and helping to improve their daily lives.
