Trainer Job Description
We are looking for an dedicated trainer to train our sales agents. The trainer is responsible for ensuring that new agents receive onboarding training to prepare them for their role. This training is mostly conducted at our retail outlets which are spread through the country, many in very remote areas/villages. The trainer must thus be prepared to spend a lot of time on the road - a role ideal for someone without a family at home to look after. Traveling is done via a dedicated network of local transport.
To be successful as a trainer you must be observant and have excellent people skills. A good trainer is able to use various teaching methods to cater to different individuals.
Train agents in the field at our retail outlets or offices
Prepare training materials and arrange trainings together with the local sales executive (TSE's)
Ensure agents pass our knowledge tests.
Evaluate agent performance to gauge where skills are lacking.
Assist in creating training programs to address skill gaps in agents.
Assist in the preparation of learning materials for training programs
Conduct surveys to gauge the effectiveness of programs.
Daily and weekly coordination/planning and feedback with the Sales Manager.
Ensure training is as efficient and effective as possible since visiting remote villages is very expensive.
A degree/certificate in HR, education or training is preferred
Prior experience as a trainer or a similar position.
Prior experience as a sales agent - ideally with us - is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to identify gaps in skills
Willingness to travel a lot
